Frab’s.

“READ, RELAX, REPEAT” …. That was the slogan on the tote-bag in black cotton or natural calico that were available at Frab’s an independent magazine and bookstore situated on Guiseppe Sirtori, Milan. This also rounds up my posts on that street; it was a slightly thematic thread tied by community. The store was set up by Anna a journalist from Molise in Milan with a passion for Independent Publishing. As a magazine lover from a young age, I wanted to name check the store and have bought some books and magazines there. Every time I rush past, I make a note to catch the displays in their windows. All the key independent magazines and fashion tomes sit here. It is a particular take on things and I will build up to other things in the coming months. These posts are about capturing a glimpse of some of the things in the local area. This store offers an oasis of independent books in a local zone. There are many other who do so in other zones. But the focus is on a small store on a street, locally. One that brings a touch of the eclectic, groundbreaking and avant-garde publishing within a stone’s throw from where I’m based, I think that’s worth supporting. It was also worth noting that my passion for magazines is still very much alive and not trapped in the past. Frab’s has helped with that.
